2008 Spring and Summer
FREE Ice Hockey

The Rink at Warwick, in its continued effort to bring ice hockey to the community, has created our Developmental Youth Ice Hockey Programs for children 12 and under. Ice Fees for the 2008 Spring and Summer Rink Developmental programs this season will be waived! NO HOCKEY EXPERIENCE is necessary to participate in our FREE Ice Hockey program. Our professional coaching staff will teach both boys and girls how to play. Our programs are designed not to conflict with other sports. Register now, space is limited! The Rink at Warwick is committed to developing both educated and skilled ice hockey players while having fun. We are offering teams for boys and girls at all age levels. The range of competition you have to choose from is full travel, developmental, and beginner levels. Our teams will play games no more than approximately one hour from the Rink.


FREE Ice Hockey Coaching Staff

The following is a list or our on ice coaching staff.
All coaches are USA Hockey certified and members in good standing.

Tom Coyne -

27 years as a Head Coach in the Delaware Valley. Over the 27 years, Coach Coyne has been a part of various clubs which include, Old York Road Raiders, Wintersport Royals, Face Off Circle Glaciers, Hatfield Ice Dogs. Also over those 27 years, Coach Coyne has been a Head Coach for Upper Dublin HS Varsity, Cheltenham HS Varsity, and Archbishop Wood HS Varsity. Head Coach at Kutztown University for 3 seasons. Coach Coyne worked for 10 years with coach John Craig at the Philadelphia Hockey Training School before starting his own successful Camp Coyne. In 2001, Coach Coyne received his Masters level 5 coaching certification from USA hockey, where he serves on the disciplinary committee for the Atlantic District. Coach Coyne was recently recognized by the Philadelphia Flyers for work in youth hockey, and became the first recipient of the Flyers Hockey Hero award. Coach Coyne's primary focus is preparing local midget/HS players for junior and college hockey. You can reach Coach Coyne at The Rink of Warwick for any other additional information.

Players must be Under 12 to qualify for the
2008 Spring and Summer FREE Ice Hockey program.

NO HOCKEY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

ICE FEES ARE FREE!

Participants will be responsible for the following:
- USA Hockey & AAHA Membership Registration*
- Wildcats Jersey for the player

Socks are available for an extra $12 per pair.

All players will be placed on age appropriate teams.

*Teams will not practice or participate in games on the following dates: May 26th, July 7th and July 21st.
**NEW! Participants can register for the Developmental Program at any time for the 2008 Spring / Summer Season.

Participants are allowed to register for both the Spring and Summer 2008 seasons for the one price quoted on this webpage and the FREE Ice Hockey Flyer. Please ask Tom Coyne for details.

Participants are allowed to register for the FREE Ice Hockey program only once during the Spring - Summer Season, this excludes participants with a birth year of 2002 and later.

Required Equipment

The Rink at Warwick REQUIRES that all players have the following Ice Hockey equipment. If you have any questions about the equipment, please ask at front desk:

  • Ice Hockey Stick
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Ice Hockey Pants
  • Shinguards
  • Elbow Pads
  • Certified Ice Hockey
    Helmet & Facemask
  • Mouthguard
  • Ice Hockey Skates
  • Loaner Equipment is available at the Rink to help the players get started!
